Carbon Credentials has produced this briefing to summarise the key considerations for the upcoming Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS). This replaces our February 2014 briefing, with more specific information on the contents of the 91 page Summary Guidance Note issued by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in June 2014.
The Environment Agency will be issuing more detailed compliance guidance towards the end of 2014, but it is important that large organisations start to consider routes to compliance immediately.
For those organisations wishing to learn more about ESOS and how they can make the most of the opportunities presented by the scheme, Carbon Credentials is hosting a free workshop on 1st October in central London. We are delighted to announce that an ESOS policy advisor from DECC will also be speaking at the workshop. Spaces will be strictly limited, click here to book now.
